- Analyze enterprise-wide trends and present insights to senior leadership and internal and external clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for consulting engagements
- Coordinate unified strategies across departments to reduce healthcare costs
- Facilitate cross-functional management teams focused on cost-reduction initiatives
- Develop and maintain reports and processes tracking healthcare cost drivers
- Promote reporting systems and dashboards to executives and end users
- Align client needs with analytical solutions and tools
- Contribute to marketing and communication strategies
- Support the evolution of analytical capabilities and tools
- Assist with onboarding and training new Business Consultants
- Create and analyze process documentation to improve departmental efficiency
- Mentor Business Consultants and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
- Lead clients to new insights and identify improvement and strategic-alignment opportunities
- Lead team-development initiatives and continuous-improvement efforts
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Commercial Line of Business
- Advise key employer groups and broker partners through customized reporting, insights, and recommendations
- Lead service strategies for top-tier clients and maintain a superior client experience
- Represent management on analytical projects, committees, and senior-leadership meetings
- Solve complex problems through innovative methods
- Lead small team projects, facilitate meetings, and drive execution of goals
- Share expertise and insights to foster team learning and growth
- Three (3) years of experience in healthcare analytics or a related field for Level I; five (5) years for Level II; seven (7) years for Level III; ten (10) years for Level IV
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; in lieu of a degree, six (6) additional years of relevant analytical experience is required
- Master’s degree or advanced certification preferred
- Proven ability in strategic thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and departments
- Skilled in managing competing priorities and stakeholder needs
- Understanding of internal and external client organizational dynamics
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI, SAS, and Cognos Analytics
- Level II:
Deep understanding of healthcare trends, data warehousing, benefit design, and financial arrangements; ability to identify adverse trends and unusual practice patterns; intermediate analytical-tool proficiency - Level III:
Ability to lead multidisciplinary consulting teams; expertise in healthcare and global compensation offerings; advanced data visualization and storytelling preferred - Level IV:
Proficient business acumen; ability to negotiate, influence, and coach; success navigating complex client engagements; ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives; relationship-building across all organizational levels; advanced analytics-platform proficiency - Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer
- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region as needed
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 30 pounds or less
- Must have a valid Class D license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
Demonstrates expertise in healthcare analytics, strategic thinking, and data analysis, with a strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive cost-reduction initiatives. Proficient in developing analytical solutions and fostering collaborative environments to enhance client engagement and operational efficiency.
