Professional Insurance Account Manager

Overview

Lawley is in search of a Professional/Specialty Insurance Account Manager for our commercial team in Buffalo or Rochester, NY. This position will be responsible for managing Specialty Insurance accounts including renewals, providing summaries, ordering and issuing binders, certificates, policies, proposals and other insurance documents within designated timelines. This position also conducts consultative conversations with their Commercial client base and establishes & maintains carrier relationships.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in a similar or related position and extensive relevant insurance knowledge. • Managing Financial Lines of Business for Commercial Insurance accounts including renewals, providing summaries, ordering and issuing binders, certificates, policies, proposals and other insurance documents within designated timelines.
• Specialize in Financial Insurance Coverages – Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Professional Liability, Crime, Pollution, Fiduciary Liability, etc.
• Conduct consultative conversations with a Commercial client base; establish & maintain carrier relationships, including regular meetings and presentations to new and existing clients.
• Obtaining non-marketed renewal quotes from existing carriers, completing renewal processes and handle non-renewal and cancellations for cause; prepare complete marketing submissions on existing clients as needed.

• Insurance experience in account management for 3 years or more.
• Coverage experience in Financial Lines of Commercial Lines Business – Cyber Liability, Directors & Officers Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Crime, Pollution, Fiduciary Liability.
• Property/Casualty License; designations preferred.
• Relevant knowledge of insurance products, documents and usages.
• Computer skills:
  Word, Excel, Outlook. Applied/EPIC experience preferred.
• Ability to work well independently and on a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Open to continuing education, college degree or equivalent industry designations.
• Positive attitude, even in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion to make customers and coworkers feel important and valued.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently; methodical, yet swift decision-making; precise communication under time constraints.

The compensation range for this position takes many factors into consideration including but not limited to: years of experience/training, skill set, and licenses/designations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for a position as circumstances and location can vary in every hiring situation. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $51,498.15 to $85,380.25.
