Key Responsibilities Underwrite new and renewal business, including processing endorsements, inspection reviews, and premium audits Manually rate risks while understanding the components that drive price Train new underwriters on new states, risk types, and complex underwriting issues
Required Qualifications High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher with a minimum of five years relevant experience in commercial lines, insurance industry, and/or underwriting; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years relevant experience Minimum of two years of Commercial Lines insurance experience is preferred Experience in Commercial General Liability, Commercial Property, or BOP Underwriting is preferred Professional designations such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), or Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU) are a plus
