Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Seeking a Public Finance Associate
Experience: 2 to 5 years in public finance law.
Qualifications:Experience supporting public finance transactions, including tax‑exempt and taxable bond offerings, Industrial Development Agency (IDA) financings, and other governmental financings.
Experience with economic development projects and public‑private partnerships, including renewable energy, housing, infrastructure and civic facilities.
Ability to manage multiple clients, matters, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with public finance transactions, including bond issuances, IDA financings, and other municipal financings.
Draft and review transaction documents, including offering documents, bond resolutions and ordinances, and PILOT agreements.
Conduct legal research and due diligence related to federal tax law, securities law, and state and local tax law.
Support closings and coordinate with underwriters, financial advisors, issuers, and other transaction participants.
Prepare closing and post‑closing documents and maintain organized transaction files.
Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts, as appropriate.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Strong academic credentials.
Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
Salary: $127,500 to $150,000
A competitive compensation and comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, flexible spending, 401(k), Paid Time Off, pension plan, and more. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo, or Rochester is $127,500 to $150,000. This range is not applicable to other locations.
