We have a terrific Direct Hire opportunity with a law firm located in the Brighton area. This position is 8-5, on site, with pay between $45-55K. This well-known law firm is seeking at least 3 yrs experience with a solid work history demonstrating longevity with previous employers. This firm prides itself with the tenure of their current staff and will only consider applicants who have a proven track record of reliability and tenure.
In this role, you will be tasked with providing administrative support and assistance to supervising attorneys in all aspects of Medicaid applications, and the estate and trust practice area. This position is 80% Medicaid and 20% Trust and Estates. If you have the Medicaid piece, this firm is willing to train on the T&E side as the Medicaid experience is a MUST HAVE.
Benefits- 120 hours of PTO/Sick time (prorated)
- Health - Firm pays 75% of single high-deductible health insurance. Employee cost $ 88.55 per pay period for single. Family/child/spouse coverage for an additional cost to the employee.
- Dental - $0 cost for a single plan per pay period. Family/child/spouse coverage available for an additional cost to the employee.
- Life Insurance ($25,000), Long Term Disability and Supplemental Short term disability insurance is 100% paid by the firm
- HSA – when enrolled in the firm health insurance high-deductible plan, firm contributes $700 annually to an HSA. This $700 is prorated based on the start date.
- HRA – High-deductible amount caps at $2,500 and the firm pick up all additional health care out of pocket costs up to the $8,500/single and $17,000 family/child/spouse at which time coverage by insurance becomes 100%.
- FSA – Dependent care available. Firm does not contribute to this.
- 401k and Roth 401k Safe Harbor Match - Firm matches 100% of the first 3% contribution and match 50% for 3-5% contribution. If you contribute 5% to 401k – firm match is 4%.
- Safe Harbor Match is 100% employee funds starting on day 1. There is no waiting to be vested in the firm contribution .No waiting period to contribute to 401k

- Assist with the preparation and filing of legal documents related to Medicaid and/or Estate Administration
- Manage and organize client files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and properly maintained
- Conduct legal research and gather information relevant to cases
- Communicate with clients, providing updates on their cases and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with external parties such as financial institutions and government agencies to obtain required documentation
- Back up support for preparation and/or finalize Wills, Trusts, Health Care Proxy and Power of Attorney documents.
- Prepare estate document packages for delivery to clients for signature and tracking document packages to be returned.
- Set up meetings and video conferences for attorneys.
- Prepare check requests for payment for expenses from Trust account or client advances.
- Research and investigate any requests, problems or issues, and resolve with appropriate parties.
- Witness document signing in-office and outside the office, as requested.
- Rotate in switchboard coverage as needed.
- Track and input time entries for billable work.
- Other duties may be requested and/or assigned.
College degree or certificate program a plus
New York State Notary
Experience- Minimum 3 year’s experience with Medicaid Application process. (
MUST HAVE, no exceptions
) - T & E experience preferred
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Effective organizational, communications and interpersonal skills required.
- Must work effectively with other motivated professionals in a fast-paced environment.
