ScheduleEmployees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Responsibilities- Issue RFQs, evaluate bids, select suppliers, and place POs. Negotiate price, delivery and service.
- Responsible for low/high dollar procurements and tactical maintenance of all procurement systems.
- Use Oracle EBS/ASCP daily to analyze planning needs, update orders, create new POs and add line items.
- Respond to manufacturing operations schedule changes – expedite purchase orders to meet operation ‘need dates’ by working with suppliers to support unexpected demands. Cancel and de‑expedite POs to best manage inventory levels and impact cash‑flow position.
- Support blanket purchase order awards (contracts) and inventory programs.
- Maintain / set standard cost.
- Manage day‑to‑day supplier relationship management.
- Facilitate and lead weekly flawless execution conference calls with suppliers.
- Disposition RDNs (rejection and disposition notifications) in a timely manner.
- Manage engineering (revision) change notifications.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding rejections, return of materials, over‑shipments, cancellations and engineering changes.
- Participate on a supply‑chain commodity team – teams that evaluate and rate suppliers relative to production capability, performance and delivery.
- Ensure supplier compliance via an internet supplier portal (eXpo PO tracking).
- Monitor critical shortages daily and negotiate premium requests from suppliers with planning.
- Assist with accounts payable invoice reconciliation.
- Responsible for item part data attribute accuracy – LT updates, minimum/maximum updates and sending data steward requests.
- Practical knowledge of the job area.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Graduate degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Excellent team‑builder – developing relationships and sharing knowledge.
- Experience engaging with suppliers and analyzing suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and the ability to meet required schedules.
- MRP experience, agile configuration.
- Cost analysis and negotiation experience.
In compliance with pay‑transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $55,000 – $102,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3
