Your
Core Responsibilities:
Procurement & Purchasing
- Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders, including creation, approval, tracking, modifications, and closure.
- Source and evaluate vendors to procure quality goods, equipment, and services at the best value.
- Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and recommend purchasing decisions that support agency needs and budgets.
Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors while negotiating pricing, terms, and service agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality products and reliable service.
Budget & Compliance
- Monitor purchasing expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure purchases comply with agency policies and ethical sourcing practices.
- Assist with purchasing reports, documentation, and audit requests as needed.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with Finance, Facilities, Operations, and other departments to understand purchasing needs and provide procurement solutions.
- Evaluate purchasing processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
- Experience in nonprofit or healthcare environments is a plus.
Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures, vendor management, and contract administration.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
