The Maintenance Worker performs regular preventative maintenance on large industrial textile processing equipment and general facility maintenance. Assists Maintenance Technicians and the Chief Engineer as required, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer.

• Perform basic maintenance duties, including monitoring oil levels and conducting preventative maintenance of grease fittings, lint traps, shaker screen barrels, and limited electrical troubleshooting.
• Follow instructions and pre‑established guidelines to complete job functions.
• Use limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Demonstrate creativity and latitude when necessary.
• Assist in resolving problems to minimize equipment downtime.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes.
• Collaborate cooperatively with all plant personnel.
• Strictly adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures, as required by Alsco, law, and industry best practices.
• Perform work safely and efficiently.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform additional tasks as directed by supervision.
• Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws.

• Support other branch personnel as required by supervision.
• Drive and transport parts, equipment, and miscellaneous items.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with power and hand tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to understand and follow directions, perform basic math, manage time, and work effectively in a team.
• Team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in quality work; self‑starter dedicated to continual improvement.

High school graduate or equivalency preferred.

• Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, working in confined areas, reaching overhead, driving a forklift, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, and moving loaded carts up to 500 lbs; lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs. Reading, writing, speaking, hearing.

• Indoor and outdoor areas of an industrial laundry facility, involving large machinery, temperature variations, noise, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. Includes general offices or outdoor grounds.

• Occasional travel to procure parts.
