Location: City of Rochester
A healthcare facility in the Rome, NY area is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and best practices
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and promote ongoing clinical competency and professional development
- Address performance concerns and uphold standards of professional conduct
- Remain informed of facility incidents and ensure proper reporting and follow-up
- Assess resident care needs and support care planning to maintain quality outcomes
- Current New York State RN license required
- Minimum five years of experience
- At least two years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and team-building skills
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance practices
