Job SummaryGeneral Manager will have a dynamic role in driving team performance and the training development/management of team members and facility operations.
General Manager will have a critical role in providing service to our customers and partners utilizing operations at the centralized multi‑service facility.
General Manager will work closely with Regional Managers and report on metrics, training, goals and other operational dynamics.
Directly manages the team leaders/welders/drivers/fabricators/laborers/service techs who are responsible for the fulfilling facility operation, service calls, delivery and backhaul etc.
Travel for training purposes only when required.
A typical workday begins at 6am and can last 8-12 hours, 5 days minimal per week.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties- Reports all assigned operations daily and/or weekly to Regional Manager and other executives.
- Document/record all operations utilizing applications and pre-determined spreadsheets and forms.
- Provides cross-functional communication between all necessary departments to include executive leadership, dispatch, accounting, HR, IT, safety and more.
- Manages ready and repairable inventories.
- Manages the scheduling, timekeeping, training, and health & safety of all team members.
- Drives team performance and cultivates a positive working environment for all team members.
- Works closely with customers and communicates daily on projects to provide quality service and improve operational efficiency.
- Understand and comply with customer contracts/agreements.
- Works with Regional Manager reviewing tracking of financials and monthly P&L.
- Understanding and adhering to OSHA and maintaining safety compliance.
- Prior team management experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening.
- Welding and fabricating experience
- Scheduling and goal execution experience
- Interviewing and hiring capabilities.
- Follow proven processes and execute.
- Forklift Qualified.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced or high‑pressure environment.
- Effective conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills.
- Microsoft Office – Excel/Word/Teams.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge. Preferred not required.
- High School diploma.
