Crossroads of Caring is seeking a part-time Executive Director to provide organizational leadership and support the continued growth and sustainability of our mission. This contract position works closely with the Board of Directors and community partners and offers up to 10 hours per week.

JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Director is a contractor responsible for the overall management of Crossroads of Caring (COC) and its oversight of its mission and strategic development. The Executive Director is expected to exercise the authority delegated by the Board of Directors (BOD) in the best interests of the agency and community. The Executive Director shall implement the policies and procedures of the organization and in accordance with ACPE and other regulatory bodies.

The Executive Director is responsible for the financial stability of the organization and all the programs under its umbrella. The Executive Director is expected to be the primary face of the organization and serve a critical role in cultivating and maintaining a strong donor base and community relationships to sustain the health of the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partners with the BOD to develop and implement a strategic roadmap for COC
  • Partners with the BOD to recruit/maintain BOD
  • Provides administrative oversight for the organization including:
  • Coordination and active participation of all BOD meetings/committees
  • Oversight and coordination of all organization contractors
  • Partners with Administrative Assistant contractor to ensure there are external communications about
  • COC (social media, COC website, annual report, etc.)
  • Promotes the mission of the organization in the community and acts as primary spokesperson
  • Promotes a culture that values inclusiveness, equity and diversity
  • Provides financial oversight for the organization including:
  • Partners with BOD to build long-term business/funding plan for organizational sustainability
  • Partners with BOD Treasurer to develop and adhere to annual budget
  • Ensures financial transactions including deposits, payments and invoices are up to date
  • Builds and executes fundraising/donation/grant development plan
  • Serves as a liaison between community partners and donors
  • Provides program oversight for the organization including:
  • Promotes mutually beneficial relationships with community agencies, educational institutions, and community and governmental service providers to promote spiritual health as a vital part of holistic health
  • Provides oversight into the creation and dissemination of marketing materials for educational programming
  • Ensures requirements are met with any regulatory and/or grant funding expectations
    Ensures meaningful data is collected and utilized to demonstrate impact
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, human services, health care administration or related field
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 1+ years of experience with fundraising and donor development
  • Experience in executive leadership, spiritual caregiving, behavioral health, congregational leadership and/or community chaplain experience preferred
