Production Manager, Operations Manager
Beyond Talent Edge has a direct hire opportunity for an experienced Director of Operations. Our client is a technology driven leader in a unique industry with global reach. They are expanding their global team adding several new product lines and to their team.
In this leadership role as the Director of Operations you will oversee the production departments including the processing, testing and assembly teams.

Responsibilities- Operational responsibility and management of the production areas of CNC machining and assembly, manufacturing of a variety of products including polymers, electrical testing, Cable assemblies, shipping & receiving
- Organization of the shop floor and production processes ensuring on-time delivery to customer requirements
- Ensuring conformance with applicable environmental as well as occupational health & safety standards, together with the necessary training for employees
- Analyzing statistics leading to the definition and implementation of measures to improve processes.
- Supporting management in the planning of replacement and new investments
- Supporting the technology department in the implementation and/or introduction of new processes or technologies from an operational perspective
- Coaching and leading employees as well as defining development measures and conducting employee appraisals
- Managing and implementing continuous improvements processes/projects
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a comparable position
- BS in Industrial Engineering or similarly relevant education
- Experience in one of more of: metal processing, polymer production and electrical assembly and testing.
- Thorough knowledge of operations and manufacturing processes, work preparation, order planning and production control
- Knowledge and experience in systematic problem solving in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with (complex) control systems in the production environment
- Ability to effectively manage and develop a team
This position does require working with and traveling to their corporate headquarters. Location and time/schedule expectations will be discussed with interested/qualified candidates.
