Material Handler

Adecco is hiring immediately for a Material Handler at a local client in Rochester, NY. Material Handlers do essential jobs with one of our premier clients, with starting pay at $16.00 - $19.00/hr as a Material Handler, you will use RF scanners to receive new shipments, hand pick orders, and operate carts, dollies, and other moving equipment to move large quantities of merchandise within the warehouse.

Requirements:

+ High School Diploma/GED

+ 1-3 years of previous experience

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to work independently or with a team

+ Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure

Responsibilities:

+ Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders

+ Accurately pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas

+ Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment

+ Perform inventory transactions using ERP or warehouse management systems

+ Maintain proper labeling, storage, and organization of materials

+ Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory processes

+ Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging and required documentation

+ Follow all company safety procedures and policies

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
