Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dependable and organized Shipping Department Worker to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring that products are packed, labeled, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Positions starting at $17/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and organizing products for delivery.
• Operate shipping equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and packaging machines.
• Verify shipping addresses and product information to ensure correct shipments.
• Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure proper packaging and product handling.
• Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading and shipping labels.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during shipping processes.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, warehousing, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping software or systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic math skills for handling shipping calculations and measurements.

All employees are considered Temporary Employees for the first 30 days of employment Probationary Period. At any time during the Probationary Period, Temporary Employees may be evaluated and employment may be terminated.

After the Probationary Period, your performance will be evaluated and, if appropriate, you will be offered a permanent employment position.
