About the FacilityThe Williamson, NY operation is a roughly 1 million sq ft production facility with 217 acres of land. The site is the Home of the Motts brand that has delighted consumers for more than 140 years. We produce a wide variety of products with diverse packaging capabilities, from applesauce to juices and concentrates. The site includes a raw apple operation that supports the site.
The operation follows TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and high-performance teams. This is a unionized location with growth opportunities.
We currently have an opening on Nights. The facility runs 24/7. Schedule is 6:00pm – 6:00am on a 2-2-3 pattern.
CompensationThis is a full-time, union role. Starting pay is $45.00/hr with a $7,000 sign-on bonus.
Job TitleElectro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
What you’ll do- Perform project management duties, maintenance and repairs of all pneumatic machines and line equipment.
- Calibrate microprocessor-based control equipment.
- Repair/installation of general instrumentation and electrical control systems.
- Read and understand relay logic for troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform tests and calibration procedures using test equipment (e.g., CRT terminals, data recorders, multimeter, megger, amprobe).
- Diagnose problems under pressure; troubleshoot and change PLC programming.
- Understand power distribution and wiring practices.
- Install panel boxes, remote control equipment, motors, power and lighting circuits.
- Work with minimal supervision and adhere to safe work practices.
- Maintain broad mechanical knowledge.
- Install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild and dismantle complex manufacturing and support equipment, focusing on advanced troubleshooting of control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on high-speed packaging lines.
- Perform preventive maintenance and proactive activities to monitor and maintain equipment condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic control systems, Allen Bradley PLC systems, RSLinx, Process Control Instrumentation, 3-phase (480V) circuits, and motor starters/controls.
- Coordinate with technicians, production personnel, engineering, management and other stakeholders to plan maintenance activities.
- Provide support and substitute for EMT Lead to drive production goals; include training and coaching as needed.
- Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance.
- Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized work areas; comply with regulatory and departmental policies and safety standards.
- Assist other maintenance technicians as priorities dictate; identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement and drive recommendations to implementation.
- Complete or assist with special projects as directed; perform other duties as requested by management.
- Pay starting at $45.00/hour.
- $7,000.00 Sign-on Bonus.

Ideal
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2 years of experience in maintenance in a large production facility.
- 2 years of troubleshooting and programming PLCs.
- 2 years of working knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 lbs as needed.
