Creation Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician 2 to join our Rochester team in a hands‑on role supporting advanced electronics manufacturing operations.
As a Maintenance Technician 2, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment to help ensure safe, efficient, and on‑time production for our customers. Working closely with manufacturing leadership and cross‑functional teams, you will perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and advanced diagnostics while following all safety and lock out tag out procedures.
This role offers the opportunity to build on prior vocational and technical experience while gaining exposure to sophisticated electronics manufacturing processes and future career advancement opportunities within Creation Technologies. The position is a full‑time day shift role, Monday through Friday, based fully onsite at our Rochester facility. You will work in a modern, clean, and organized workspace designed to support collaboration, safety, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on complex manufacturing equipment and support systems.
- Execute scheduled maintenance activities while ensuring equipment performance meets operational and safety standards.
- Follow all lock out tag out (LOTO) and workplace safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and external equipment vendors to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair updates, and parts usage within the CMMS system.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring equipment issues and recommending maintenance or process improvements.
- Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and assist with equipment installations, fabrication support, and system assembly projects.
- High school diploma, GED, military training, or vocational/technical education preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance or technical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment.
- Working knowledge of lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures and general workplace safety standards.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, and continuous learning mindset.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $30 - $40/hour. Full‑time employees are also eligible for performance‑based bonuses and benefits.
