Press Brake Set-Up Operator

Salary Range: $23.00 - $32.00 Annually

The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.

• Set up an Amada Press Brake machine following the project details and blueprints.
• Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Inspect "first-part", consult with quality assurance and inspect work pieces throughout the production run for out-of-tolerance machining.
• Using precision measuring instruments such as micrometer and dial caliper, ensure quality products are produced according to project specifications.
• Periodically operate power roller conveyor and do work by hand.

• Function as a member of a customer-driven team with limited supervision; uphold quality work ethic.
• Hold oneself accountable for meeting commitments to project outcomes.
• Maintain adequate levels of performance and motivation despite routine, repetitive, and/or non-stimulating job tasks.
• Understand and carry out oral and written directives.
• Work well under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and remain flexible.
• Demonstrate thorough operational knowledge and skills of press brake equipment and inspection equipment.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Record time spent and material used.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers.
• Perform arithmetic operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $23.00 - $32.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
