Packaging Operator; Nights - Rotating Weekends

Position

Packaging Operator – 12‑Hour Night Shift at the fairlife manufacturing facility in Webster, NY.

6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule; every other weekend.

$24–$25 per hour, with variable pay and bonus opportunities.

• Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
• Report to and follow directions of Production Supervisors.
• Safely operate moving equipment and make adjustments within process limits to package accurate, defect‑free cases with sleeved bottles.
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality conformity to specifications and SOPs.
• Inspect packaged product throughout the process, verifying that all meet finished specifications and adjust the process as needed; escalating issues to a supervisor.
• Supply packaging equipment with materials such as sleeves, corrugate, shrink film, glue, pallets, and stretch wrap.
• Periodically count and record finished or rejected materials.
• Clean packaging equipment, ancillary tools, conveyors, and surrounding areas; maintain the entire packaging line in audit‑ready condition.
• Proactively monitor the production line and conveyors for problems; efficiently resolve stoppages and record downtime reasons.
• Stop and address machines when faults occur, clear jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor or technician.
• Troubleshoot problems, perform minor repairs with the correct tools, and participate in preventive maintenance.
• Use visual observation of gauges and listening to mechanical sounds to ensure equipment is functioning properly; inform maintenance if issues cannot be corrected.
• Aid in training new personnel or upskilling team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computational skills including simple math and reasoning.
• Ability to operate equipment effectively after training.
• Ability to troubleshoot small problems and log them appropriately.
• Adherence to safety procedures while working efficiently.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Industrial Truck Operator License.
• Capability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Proficiency in English, including written and verbal communication.

• Standing throughout the shift, walking on uneven concrete or tile, lifting full packaged cases.
• Pushing/pulling rolls of labels, stacking collapsed boxes, using cleaning tools; bending or stooping occasionally.
• Squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and turning to pick up product from the floor and during cleanup.
• Climbing, balancing, and reaching for items on or above shoulder level.
• Manipulating hands and fingers for pressing buttons, opening equipment doors, typing, clearing jams, and executing changeovers.

• Notify supervision of repairs or adjustments that may affect product quality or food safety.
• Observe and comply with the color‑coded container policy in production areas.
• Meet company, customer, and government requirements and standards.
• Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities in food safety and quality systems.
• Identify and record food‑safety and quality problems.
• Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming products until the issue is corrected.
• In absence, a qualified employee with the same skill level assumes duties.
