Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer at MKS, you will partner with the Tech Ops Team to develop and support NPI designs, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

• Provide day-to-day support to assembly operations
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for RF generators and subassemblies
• Drive root cause analysis
• Support transfer of new designs to high-volume manufacturing (HVM)
• Design fixtures and tooling
• Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, BOMs, and standard operating procedures

Up to 20% of travel is required.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience (school and co‑ops count)
• Develop and use process simulations to model:
  • Assembly flows
  • Cycle times and throughput optimization
• Support digital manufacturing initiatives (digital twin concepts, virtual validation)
• Experience in high‑tech manufacturing such as semiconductor or electro‑mechanical assemblies
• Cross‑functional engineering collaboration
• Digital factory or manufacturing simulation
• Process validation (PFMEA)

• Design for manufacturing experience (DFX)
• Data‑driven problem solving
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Factory, Oracle working knowledge

• Work performed in a production/assembly environment with exposure to mechanical equipment, automation systems, office work (desk, computer)
• Hands‑on shop floor support

• Salary Range: $71,025 – $118,375 USD annually
• Bonus:
  Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, determined by MKS
