Senior Chemical Operator

Kodak is looking for Senior Chemical Operators to work in our Specialty Chemical Division (SCID). These operators will manage and maintain a product flow of various chemicals through the chemical processing equipment and maximize output, product quality and minimize waste.

• Complete SCID operator training program focusing on HSE, process equipment function/set-up, operating procedures, and process operating techniques.
• Strictly adhere to division operating procedures regarding HSE, including chemical verifications, chemical additions, lifting procedures/policies, and required PPE.
• Maintain good interpersonal skills and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and comprehend a variety of work requests.
• Utilize computers and databases for task management.
• Apply basic math concepts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations.
• Maintain a clean work area, practice good 5S, and operate safely at all times.
• Work with and be exposed to various chemicals, some hazardous, with prescribed PPE.
• Perform duties involving walking, standing, frequent lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, and occasional awkward positions.
• Work overtime or adjust schedule for shutdowns and business needs.
• Use analytical and troubleshooting skills; know when to STOP, CALL, and wait for help when problems arise.
• Work 12‑hour rotating shifts.

• Manufacturing experience with a technical background such as mechanical, electrical, or chemical.
• Interpret procedures and adhere to HSE and process procedures.
• Desire to continually improve one’s self and processes using KOS tools and lean manufacturing concepts.
