Job Description
The Light Industrial Assembler will assemble components and finished products according to technical specifications while maintaining high quality standards and supporting an efficient, safety-focused production process.
Responsibilities- Assemble components and products accurately according to technical specifications, blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Operate and maintain manufacturing tools, hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure finished products meet established company standards and specifications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report defects, malfunctions or issues in the assembly process to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety guidelines, procedures and regulations while maintaining a clean, organized and hazard-free work area.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures to verify dimensions and ensure components meet required tolerances.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow, improve efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly production, including quantities, defects and rework, and report progress to supervisors.
- Support general production and light industrial tasks as needed to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or production is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and industrial equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures with accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity to handle small parts and precise assemblies.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in the assembly process.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in a production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical certification or vocational training related to manufacturing, mechanics or industrial technology is a plus.
- Experience working in a light industrial or small production environment.
- Comfort working with a variety of mechanical components and tools.
- Strong communication skills to report issues, progress and improvement ideas.
- Reliability and punctuality in a first-shift production schedule.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.

You will work in a small manufacturing facility with a team of approximately 25 people, creating a collaborative and supportive environment where you can get to know your coworkers and contribute directly to team success. The role follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with optional overtime available on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The work is hands-on and takes place on the production floor, using hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
You will spend most of your day standing, moving, lifting and working at assembly stations while following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.
