Location: City of Rochester

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Production Controller to join a local manufacturing operations team. This pivotal role involves overseeing production activities, ensuring optimal workflow, and maintaining seamless coordination across supply chain and manufacturing functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production management, process improvement, and supply chain analytics, contributing to the continuous enhancement of operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels.
  • Utilize ERP systems to monitor production progress, update planning data, and ensure accurate tracking of materials and work-in-progress.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to optimize procurement, inventory management, and logistics for uninterrupted production flow.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee plant operations by managing resources, scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to troubleshoot issues, improve process workflows, and enhance product quality.
  • Generate reports on production performance metrics, supply chain analytics, and operational KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead initiatives in process improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, increasing throughput, and enhancing overall plant efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems planning software.
  • Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), lean manufacturing methodologies, and supply chain management principles.
  • Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and practices within a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in supply chain analytics and operations management.
