Location: City of Rochester
Overview
As a Manufacturing Tech 2, you partner with Manufacturing Engineers to assist with New Product Introductions (NPI) and support production floor activities. You report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities- Assist manufacturing engineers with process development, improvement, and validation.
- Support production floor activities, including troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as quality, maintenance, and supply chain.
- Assist with new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change implementation.
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1 year of manufacturing or engineering support experience.
- Experience in a production or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with Visual Factory or other process development instruction systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as assembly.
- Combination of office and shop floor environment.
- May require standing, walking, and working near production equipment.
- Occasional lifting or extended time on the manufacturing floor.
Up to 10% of travel is required.
