Machine Operator
Location: Rochester, NY (near Elmgrove Road/Gates area) –
Limited bus line access
Status: Temp to hire
Pay: $17.50/hour
Schedule:
- Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Monday & Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday:
Typically Off
Mandatory Overtime: During peak season, Friday becomes a mandatory workday. Overtime may consist of a full shift (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM) or a partial 4-hour shift, depending on production needs. Employees will be notified in advance whenever possible.
Responsibilities:
- Operate or assist with print finishing equipment, including rotary die cutters, guillotines, SSTs, paper cutters, and binders
- Perform cutting, collating, assembling, and finishing of printed materials
- Follow production schedules and meet daily production goals
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, quantity, and product quality
- Support team members across the production line as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work mandatory overtime during peak production periods
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn machine operation through on‑the‑job training
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment in a production environment
