Production Manager
Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor supervises manufacturing operations and support staff with an emphasis on teamwork, safety, and sanitation. Ensures that necessary tools, supplies, and equipment are available and properly utilized to perform production tasks effectively. Performs training, compliance, recordkeeping, and duties related to achieving production goals & objectives. Reports to the Plant Production Manager. Primary responsibilities include maintaining a safe and clean work environment, monitoring employee work, maintaining workflow, establishing a strong safety culture, monitoring and enhancing team member productivity, overseeing inventory management, reviewing quality holds, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, providing leadership coverage, and ensuring effective employee relations with supporting departments.
Education requirements preferred include a 4 year/Bachelors Degree in a business-related field. Years of experience required include 2 years in a leadership role with direct reports and 2-5 years in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably food manufacturing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of lean six sigma and SAP are also required. The work environment includes a manufacturing environment with large equipment, noise, dust, and damp conditions.
Use of PPE is required, and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, with a salary range from $65,000 – $82,000 annually.
