The Role Quidel Ortho  is seeking an energetic associate for VITROS Certified Analyzers. The candidate will disassemble, clean and repair/rebuild instrument modules, per established work instructions for a Medical Device Manufacturing line with limited supervision. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of preparing and maintaining the work area, including 5S, and quality of finished product.

This position will be located onsite in Rochester.

The Responsibilities Inspect, disassemble, clean and rebuild modules for VITROS certified analyzers

Learn from lead trainer and meet training requirements

Maintain tools and use in a safe manner

Follow electrostatic discharge protocols including foot, wrist, and jacket protection

Follow and promote ergonomic safe assembly

Knowledge of ISO and Good Manufacturing practices for Medical Devices Setup and maintain a clean work area Deliver assigned tasks to a project plan timeline

Work effectively across disciplines and with functional partners

Contributing team member willing to flex between project deliverables

The Individual

Required:

High school diploma3 years minimum electro-mechanical assembly experience

Ability to lift and place components up to 50lbs unassisted

Detail orientated and Quality minded

Active team member with can do attitude

Preferred:

Medical device assembly experience

The Key Working Relationships Internal Partners:
Equipment Manufacturing Operators, Quality Engineers, Field Engineers, Customer Service, Warehouse personnel

External Partners:
Material Suppliers and Customers The Work Environment The work environment characteristics are representative of a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse environment.

Physical Demands Position requires ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and be able to lift 75lbs. Travel with Field Engineers up to 10% of the time for ongoing training. Regularly disassembling laboratory equipment, cleaning it per validated process and reassembling accordingly. May occasionally handle chemicals for use in final release testing of laboratory analyzers to customers

Salary Transparency The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At Quidel Ortho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $51,000. Quidel Ortho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and Quidel Ortho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
