Welder - Precision Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join an established precision manufacturing operation in Rochester.

This position will perform welding and fabrication work on a variety of manufactured components and assemblies while maintaining high standards for quality and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication according to blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings and materials for each job
• Fit, position, clamp, and weld components and assemblies
• Inspect completed welds for quality, dimensions, and workmanship
• Use grinders, measuring tools, fixtures, and other fabrication equipment as needed
• Identify defects or quality concerns and make necessary corrections
• Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding preferred
• Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, and/or carbon steel is a plus
• Comfortable using grinders, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to weld quality and dimensional requirements
• Ability to work independently from drawings and work instructions
