Grinder ​/ Metal Finisher

We are seeking a Grinder / Metal Finisher to support a precision manufacturing and fabrication operation in Rochester.

This position is responsible for grinding, deburring, and finishing manufactured metal components to meet customer and quality specifications.

Salary: $20 - $36 per hour

• Grind, deburr, smooth, and finish metal parts and welded assemblies
• Remove excess weld material, sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections
• Use hand grinders, belt sanders, pneumatic tools, and other finishing equipment
• Prepare components for additional finishing, painting, coating, or assembly operations
• Read drawings, work instructions, and specifications to determine finishing requirements
• Visually inspect finished components for defects and workmanship
• Use measuring tools as needed to verify dimensions
• Handle parts carefully to prevent damage to finished surfaces
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work area

• Previous grinding, deburring, metal finishing, or fabrication experience preferred
• Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, or other metals
• Comfortable using hand-held and powered grinding/finishing equipment
• Ability to read basic drawings and work instructions
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to consistently produce clean, quality finishes
• Manufacturing, welding, fabrication, or machine shop experience is a plus
