Role Description This is a full-time, on-site FABRICATION PRESS BRAKE role located in the Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area. The role involves setting up, operating, and adjusting press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal and fabricated components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Daily responsibilities include selecting tooling, verifying dimensions, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate production records. The role also includes routine equipment maintenance, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration with fabrication, welding, and machining team members to ensure efficient workflow.
The individual in this position will help support continuous improvement initiatives and may assist with troubleshooting fabrication issues on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Sheet Metal and Metal Fabrication for setting up and operating press brake equipment.
- Experience with Machining processes or related manufacturing operations in a production environment.
- Basic Welding knowledge to collaborate effectively with welding teams on fabricated assemblies.
- Strong Customer Service mindset to support internal and external stakeholders with quality and responsiveness.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and quality inspection practices.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or press brake operation preferred; vocational or technical training in manufacturing or related fields is beneficial.
