2nd Shift Material Handler

Alro Steel Corporation Careers is seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to support warehouse operations in its metals and plastics distribution business. In this role, you will safely load, unload, and move steel and industrial materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment. You will pick and stage customer orders, verify tags and dimensions, and assist with basic cutting, banding, and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move steel and other materials using forklifts and overhead cranes
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders to specification and schedule
• Verify material tags, quantities, and dimensions for accuracy
• Perform basic cutting, banding, and packaging of metal products as needed
• Inspect equipment and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and safe traffic lanes
• Use basic computer or scanner systems to track inventory movements
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
