POSITION SUMMARY
Assist all NY LiDestri facilities with training and staffing needs due to their proficiency in a majority of the operation aspects
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Familiar with the majority of production equipment and processes;
- Ensure all products exiting production line meet customer and product requirements;
- Validate correct materials are being utilized;
- Adhere to all quality standards and policies;
- Ensure finished product is transported/loaded correctly;
- Identify noticeable defects in incoming & outgoing products;
- Cross training or training on equipment as defined by manager;
- Must be flexible in availability to work various shifts and/or facilities;
- Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
REQUIRED EDUCATION,
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED, extensive experience in a manufacturing facility;
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots);
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning;
- Ability to use various hand tools (RF scanner guns, can openers, knifes and scales);
- Previous experience as a machine operator, QC Technician and a forklift operator;
- May be required to travel between facilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- Long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors
- Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
- Lifting/carrying
