ob Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fabricator responsible for assembling, fitting, welding, and preparing structural steel components according to detailed shop drawings and engineering specifications. This role plays a key part in producing beams, columns, stairs, railings, and structural assemblies used in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural steel components including beams, columns, stairs, and railings
• Fit-up and assemble steel parts using bolting and welding techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication plans
• Perform layout, measurement, cutting, and assembly of steel materials
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Assist with welding operations as required (MIG, Stick, or similar)
• Move materials using overhead cranes and forklifts safely
• Prime and prepare finished steel products for shipment
• Load completed materials onto trucks for delivery
• Ensure all work meets quality and dimensional standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience in structural steel fabrication or metal fabrication preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic welding knowledge and fabrication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with measuring tools and fabrication equipment

Preferred Certifications

• Forklift Operator Certification
• Overhead Crane Certification
• Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs regularly
• Standing, bending, and working in a shop environment
• Comfortable working around industrial equipment and machinery
