A well-established, third-generation family-owned precision manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Tube Laser Operator to join its Rochester-area team.
This is a hands-on position for someone who understands that successful laser operation goes beyond simply loading material and pushing a button. You’ll be responsible for machine setup, first-piece production, inspection approval, and running production while maintaining quality and efficiency.
The company operates a highly integrated manufacturing environment serving industries such as medical, automotive, telecommunications, electronics, transportation, and other specialized markets.
What You’ll Do- Operate tube laser equipment in a production environment.
- Set up machines and prepare jobs for production.
- Complete first-piece setups and obtain inspection approval.
- Run production according to job requirements and specifications.
- Work closely with the CNC programming team, which provides machine programs.
- Adjust between setup and production responsibilities depending on the job.
- Help train new associates once fully established in the role.
- Previous tube laser operating experience
. - Strong setup and first-piece experience.
- Experience working in precision manufacturing, sheet metal, or a similar production environment.
- Reliable and consistent work history.
- Flat laser experience
- Plex experience
No programming experience is required. Machine programming is handled separately, allowing the operator to focus on setup, first-piece approval, and production.
- $21–$27/hour
