Job Description:

As an intern in the production planning role, you willassistin planning, scheduling, and monitoring manufacturing status and approval of products through the entire production cycle to meet production, and ultimately customer, requirements. You will work from engineering plans and production specifications to ensuretimelyprovision of materials. Additionally, you willadvisemanagement on the status of work in progress, coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, and interface with engineering, program management, and external customers.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the availability of materials and labor to meet production needs and delivery commitments, as well as resolving labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules
  • Utilize Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to input Master Schedule build plans, track material availability, status kit readiness, release shop orders, andmaintainall shop order records and inventory integrity
  • Update andmaintainmake items lead times within MRP system
  • Manage floor stock of program components
  • Work jointly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedule and address any issuesin a timely manner
  • Work with Materials Planners to proactively manage the schedule and material dock dates to ensure accuracy of planning
  • Provide hardware status, updates and performance statistics to program team based on status of hardware through Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Some things to include if needed / depending on the role:
  • Travel requirements with an estimated % or quantitative amount
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to complete physical tasks
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (if not required on day
    1)
Qualifications:
  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree insupply chain management, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administrationor related field or have completed their bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
Preferred Additional

Skills:
  • Knowledge and/or experience in scheduling or supply chain planning preferred.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills combined with the ability to manage large amountsof quantitative data
  • Proficient in the use Microsoft Office software;working knowledge of relational data bases.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
