- Obtain daily paperwork (truck/tanker and railcar arrivals) and check with production support as well as emails.
- Receive bulks and follow the appropriate receiving procedure, this may also include releasing railcars in Rail Connect.
- Receive bulk flour, sugar, oils and follow appropriate receiving protocols on the receiving paperwork.
- Report any out of specification situations to the Quality Department.
- Hold any material that does not meet specifications and inform Quality Assurance and scheduling department and wait for disposition.
- Maintain communication channels between bulk receiver, planning team and railroad in order to confirm railroad switches (email or phone).
- Overtime hours may be required based on work demand. Employee must be flexible with these hours. This position may be required to cover 1st shift when needed due to absences on 1st shift.
- Assists in other areas in production as needed. This position is about 50% bulk unloading, 50% production operations.
- Employee must follow and comply with the plants’ GMP, Food Safety and Safety Procedures.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Basic math skills, and ability to consistently read and record alphanumeric codes.
- Computer knowledge: basics skills/usage. SAP experience preferred.
- Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, other employees, and truck drivers.
- Production areas are noisy; regular use of ear plugs/muffs required.
- Safety glasses and safety footwear (steel toe, non-slip) required.
- Must be able to obtain Respirator fit qualification within 90 days of hire.
- Hair and beard nets required.
- Some areas are dusty.
- Lifting up to 55 lbs.
- Lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Regular walking, standing, bending, and twisting.
- Regularly exposed to weather conditions.
- Hourly compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, ranging from $19.50 - $25.50
