Automated Production Technician III

Position Summary

The Automated Production Technician (Manufacturing Associate III) will safely operate highly automated manufacturing equipment used in the production of contact lenses while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

• $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
• Night Shift differential: $1.25 per hour
• $500 Quarterly Bonus target

• Operate highly automated manufacturing equipment across various phases of the contact lens manufacturing process, including production, inspection, packaging, and sterilization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, process, and automation issues while documenting findings and communicating corrective actions.
• Perform in-process quality inspections and ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, SOP, and quality requirements.
• Review production data, shift logs, and process trends to support reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production leadership, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to address operational challenges and optimize performance.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and
  * escalate* technical issues as appropriate.
• Train and mentor team members while actively participating in cross-training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of operational excellence and workplace safety.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience; equivalent combinations of education, technical training, certifications, and experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems and applications.
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, including overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and commitment to quality.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and proactive initiative.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
• Model a high level of ownership, accountability, and resiliency.

• Associate degree or technical certification in a related field such as mechanical, electrical, or engineering technology.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or food production.
• Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of cGMP and FDA-regulated manufacturing practices.

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
• 2-2-3 rotating schedule with built-in overtime and scheduled days off
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine production and inspection activities.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $19.00 and $27.00 per hour. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
