*** Responsibilities:
** The Assistant Director works closely with the Director of Class & Affinity Giving to design and implement a comprehensive philanthropy program for recent graduates. With meaningful latitude for independent judgment, this role helps develop and execute strategic solicitation plans that increase undergraduate alumni participation through innovative and enhanced approaches to engagement and giving.
Serving as a primary point of contact for young alumni fundraising initiatives, the Assistant Director collaborates with colleagues across Annual Giving Programs to support targeted solicitation campaigns informed by emerging industry trends and performance analysis. In partnership with the Associate Director of Reunion Giving, the role manages philanthropy volunteers for the 5th, 10th, and 15th Reunion cohorts, and consults on associated fundraising efforts.
The Assistant Director also works closely with the Associate Director of Student Giving to support the student to alumni transition and collaborates with the Alumni Relations and Constituent Engagement (ARCE) team to advance coordinated young alumni engagement strategies across channels.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*** Develop and execute customized tactical strategies to increase young alumni giving, including integrated solicitation plans, stewardship initiatives, and supporting collateral. Benchmark against peer institutions and cultivate external relationships to inform and advance best practices.
* Provide strategic guidance on solicitations and communications within Annual Giving Programs that engage young alumni, including initiatives for schools and units, the George Eastman Circle, Rochester Loyal, and Reunion.
* Leverage peer-to-peer relationships among young alumni, specifically those celebrating a milestone Reunion, to drive fundraising goals. Recruit and manage volunteers dedicated to philanthropy for the 5th,10th, and 15th Reunion cohorts. Attend associated Reunion committee meetings and events, including Meliora Weekend celebrations.
* Work directly with the Associate Director of Student Giving to create a seamless experience for students transitioning from senior year to new alumni, including participation in senior events and programs, to promote donor retention and acquisition.
* Analyze fundraising performance to inform strategy and decision‐making. Monitor and evaluate campaign results, participation metrics, and volunteer activity; prepare reports and insights to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend improvements to young alumni giving strategies.

** MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
*** Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required

*** Marketing and/or fundraising experience preferred.
* Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to navigate and work effectively within a complex organization preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to work with data and reporting tools to assess campaign performance and support data-informed decision-making preferred.
* Ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a team to achieve shared objectives preferred.
