Volunteer Coordinator

Determines needs for volunteer assistance at Unity Health System/St. Mary's Campus.

• Collaborates with department managers to determine needs for volunteer assistance and assists with developing programs to meet the needs.
• Recruits, interviews, screens and places volunteers.
• Works with local schools, churches and community based programs to increase volunteer base.
• Serves as a resource to insure appropriate day-to-day supervision and activities of volunteers within the departments.
• Coordinates special projects requiring volunteer assistance.
• Maintains and processes volunteer personnel records and tracking sheets in a timely manner.
• Participates in planning and implementing annual Health System volunteer recognition event as well as planning and implementing on site, on-going volunteer recognition.

• A.A.S. in human services or related field.
• Computer experience is required.
• Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, good communication skills both oral and written, ability to lead and inspire others, ability to be innovative and creative.

Two years of experience in voluntary sector or related field. Non-profit experience preferred.

Certified Volunteer Coordinator preferred.
