Position DetailsLocation: Fairport, NY 14450; Rochester City School District
Term of Employment: Per Diem Substitute
Starting Date: As Needed
Salary Range: $20.00 per hour or $150 per day
Responsibilities- Perform treatments and procedures such as soaks, vital signs, medication administration, and accompanying students on trips.
- Screen students for illnesses, height, weight, scoliosis, vision, and hearing.
- Administer first aid following school health policies.
- Communicate effectively with school nurse, staff, and parents.
- Follow medical providers’ orders.
- Maintain knowledge of school health regulations.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Administer medications at various locations as needed.
- Assist diabetic students in becoming self-directed.
- Valid New York State LPN license or RN license.
- AED/CPR certification (must be renewed with Monroe One BOCES).
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Ability to perform CPR in a kneeling/floor-based position for at least two minutes.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including responding quickly in emergencies.
