The Robotic Nursing Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in ensuring safe, high‑quality, and efficient patient care within the robotic and surgical services environment. This role oversees 24‑hour staffing coverage, supports clinical excellence, and serves as a key liaison among patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Determine staffing needs and create schedules to ensure 24‑hour coverage of patient care services.
• Supervise patient assignments and allocate nursing staff based on patient acuity, care needs, and staff skill mix.
• Serve as a clinical consultant to patients, families, department staff, physicians, and other hospital departments.
• Collaborate with leadership to troubleshoot clinical and operational issues.
• Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of operating room and robotic nursing staff.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver clinical education, including orientation for new hires and ongoing staff development.
• Provide guidance and support to students and faculty in clinical settings.

Minimum

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• CPR certification within three (3) months of hire
• Completion of professional certification in the relevant specialty as soon as eligible (typically after two years in the specialty)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or evidence of planned completion within two (2) years

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous experience in a relevant nursing practice setting
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience
• Current professional certification in the relevant specialty
