Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position, requiring a NY RN license and Cath Lab experience.
Responsibilities- Work in the Cath Lab of a hospital setting
- Patient population includes adults requiring cardiac catheterizations (diagnostic and interventional) and IR lab procedures
- Procedures and skills include cardiac stent placement, diagnostic/interventional catheterization, IABP, Impella, PCI, pacemaker/defibrillator lead work, pulmonary artery pressure monitoring, angioplasty, and central line placements
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, four 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call required, averaging 8-10 call shifts per month including 1 full weekend of coverage
- Must have experience in both Cath Lab and IR Lab
- Epic EMR experience required
- Scrubs are provided
- Participate in cardiac and interventional radiology procedures, using complex equipment and providing sedation monitoring
- Be prepared for on-call responsibilities and weekend coverage as scheduled
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Approved time off requests should be kept close to one week
- Up to 3 called-off shifts allowed per 13-week contract assignment
- Active NY RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required; IR-only experience not sufficient
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required
- Experience with procedures such as cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, PICC placement, and procedural sedation monitoring
- Epic EMR experience required
- No local candidates within 75 miles
- First-time travelers accepted
