The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the delivery of competent, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical standards. Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, the Level II RN plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
In this expanded role, the Level II RN may serve as a charge nurse, preceptor, and active committee member, contributing to leadership initiatives and unit-based quality improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
- Utilize evidence-based practice to guide clinical decision-making
- Support unit operations in a charge nurse capacity, as assigned
- Mentor and precept new nursing staff
- Participate in committees and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Active New York State RN License (NY License ONLY)
- Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association – AHA ONLY)
