*** Responsibilities:
** NP/PA/CNMExciting opportunity for advanced practice provider to work in collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine Faculty and APPs in provision of clinical care for patients with obstetric needs. The position would focus on care of the high-risk obstetric patient populations at the Lattimore and Red Creek Maternal-Fetal Medicine offices.
The APP as part of the multidisciplinary team provides direct patient care and management, in-basket management, follow up, and education for patients. They are expected to aid in multidisciplinary care management for all patients in the practices, including coverage of electronic/phone based patient questions, result and order follow-up, regional care coordination, and participation in delivery care planning teams.
While not required, candidates with an interest in or experience with diabetes in pregnancy management is encouraged; cross-coverage within the Diabetes in Pregnancy Program will be required.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, self-motivation for on-going learning, flexibility and teamwork experience. The distribution of the 40 hour work week can be completed in a traditional 5 days per week, 8 hour day schedule. Alternatively, a 4 day, 10 hour per day schedule can also be accommodated. Candidates must be NYS NP, PA or CNM licensed, and eligible for certification.
EFM, perinatal loss, and IBCLC certifications would be welcome, as would bilingual skills. Underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Nurse Practitioner Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.
Physician Assistant Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
