PACU Registered Nurse ASPN II

Job Description

Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health‑care providers and health‑care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence‑based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support patient care.

The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. The Level II RN may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned as a charge nurse or preceptor, supports peers in patient care delivery, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects patient condition and priorities.

The Level II RN supports unit problem solving, identifies opportunities for self‑growth, contributes to the development of other learners, and helps maintain a safe unit environment and operations.

Pay Range: $34.68 – $44.70 per hour.

• Minimum six (6) months RN experience in an acute care setting.
• BS in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of New York.
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
