School Nurse RN - Extended Programs; RCSD

This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position.

Fairport NY 14450; RCSD and Suburban Locations

July 9, 2026 – August 19, 2026;
Hours vary by location.

• June 2:
  Transition/Employment
• June 3: O'Connor Academy, eStart, Creekside (BPA Unit + TES Staff)
• June 10:
  Creekside (BUP Unit), Bird/Morgan

$32.33 – $52.43 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your 2026-27 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff.

Actual salary is dependent upon education, experience, and contract.

• Monitor physical status of children regarding chronic diseases (i.e. epilepsy, diabetes) in addition to other disabilities (i.e. developmental, emotional).
• Dispense and monitor medications.
• Complete treatments as required.
• Accompany students with medical needs on community based outings.
• Consult with staff regarding medical and developmental status of children.
• Liaison with physicians, community agencies, parents, students and staff.
• Develop IHCPs and Emergency Plans as needed.
• Provide First Aid and emergency care to students and staff.
• Train, monitor LPN and Health Aide staff as needed.
• Ability to run to emergencies and perform CPR.

• Civil Service eligibility as a School Nurse:
  Possession of a NYS License as a Registered Nurse.
• Current license and registration to practice nursing in NYS.
• CPR/AED Certified.
• Prior school nursing, pediatric nursing experience desirable.
• Applicants must commit to working the full 30-day Summer Program.
• Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation), which may or may not include: responding to emergency situations quickly (which may require running up/down stairs or running to sports field areas).
