Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care within a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with patients, providers, and other team members.

Responsibilities:

- Patient assessments and monitoring in a MICU environment.
- Medication administration and management.
- Treatment planning and implementation.
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Management of patients with conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, and respiratory failure/shock.
- Post cardiac arrest care and targeted temperature management.
- Management of patients on CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella.
- Charting patient information using EPIC.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State (must be in hand).
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.
- Clinical Assessment, Medication Administration, and Treatment Planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills.
- EPIC charting experience.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Experience with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock, CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella.

Special Considerations:

- Weekend requirement:
Every other weekend.
- Nurse-patient ratio: 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity.
