Requirements
- License: NY RN License
- Certifications:
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience:
Minimum of 2 years
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients, making nursing diagnoses of their medical and emotional status while recommending treatment options.
- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design appropriate treatment plans for clients.
- Administer and monitor reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
- Assist clients in understanding their emotional disturbances and the need for treatment, ensuring a safe environment for all.
- Document all patient information in medical charts and follow physician orders while maintaining patient confidentiality.
