Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Day shifts available; 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Every other weekend is required.

We are seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our team. This role involves caring for patients with various diagnoses, including cardiac disease, stroke, infection, and pain management. The nurse will utilize telemetry monitoring and provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with established protocols and standards.

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and utilize Rapid Response Teams as necessary.
• Perform peripheral line care and management, including maintenance of oxygen delivery systems.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and other safety protocols.
• Engage in interdisciplinary support with various teams including IV, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.
• Maintain high standards of patient care within a fast-paced environment.

• 1 year of recent nursing experience in a medical/surgical telemetry setting.
• Current BLS certification and NIHSS certification preferred.
• Must have an active New York state nursing license in hand to submit.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
