Location: City of Rochester
Job Description
East 7-PCU: 18-bed unit caring for acutely ill patients requiring continuous monitoring, including ventilator-dependent patients, peritoneal dialysis, acute cardiac, and stroke patients.
Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families as well as to the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process.
- Assume expanded unit roles (charge nurse or preceptor) as available and assigned by the Nurse Manager.
- Support peers in delivery of patient care, using appropriate team communication methods, and practicing care that reflects patient condition and priorities.
- Provide support to team problem solving.
- Identify opportunities for self-growth and contribute to the development of other learners.
- Contribute to a safe unit environment and operations.
Pay Range: $37.95 - $50.15 per hour plus weekend allowance.
- The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries or hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

- Minimum 6 months RN experience in an acute care setting.
- BS in Nursing preferred.
- Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
