This is a fast‑paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) that manages more than 100,000 visits a year and is recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. As the only Level I trauma hospital in the area, this role is essential in treating a diverse patient population with a wide variety of diagnoses. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the care of medical‑surgical boarder patients within the ED.

• Provide nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast‑paced emergency department.
• Ensure a patient ratio of 1:5 with support from assistive personnel.
• Manage and treat medical‑surgical boarder patients effectively.

The position requires rotating shifts that include days, evenings, and nights, along with availability on holidays, weekends, and on‑call duties as needed.

• Active New York State RN License.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred but not required.

This is a 13‑week contract position.
